- Sep 11, 2017 You can use your already available PS4 controller. You can either connect right away by plugging the micro USB cable directly into your Mac or go through a few extra steps to play wirelessly via Bluetooth. Get the connection between your PS4 controller and Mac setup. It takes minor effort.
- The Dolphin Emulator compatibility list contains all the games we tested, sorted by how well they work on the emulator.
- Nov 13, 2017 Additionally, all 4 ports do work, you just need to enable them in Dolphin in accordance with the ones you’re using. The leftmost port is the Player 1 port, which I enable in this guide.
- Sep 11, 2017 Connect a PS4 Controller via USB. You can simply use you mini USB cable that came with your PS4 controller to connect it to your Mac computer. Plug the PS4 controller cable into a USB port on your Mac. Then, turn on your controller by holding down the PS4 button located between the two controller sticks.

Hey there.
I'm new here but I did a search to hopefully find some relevant discussion thread on this subject but to no avail. I'm specifically trying to play Gamecube games on my mac OS X and I would like to use my Playstation DS4 controller.
I select configure for standard controller and it says gamecube controller configuration at the top and Pad 1. The device is selected as input/0/Wireless Controller. Now when I try to map my controller it continually gives me the same response no matter what I do:
for buttons A B X Y Z it says the following: Axis 33 -, Axis 33 +-, Axis 33 +, Axis 33 -+, Axis 33 -+.
It says left click to detect inputs and right click for more options. When I try these inputs it doesn't respond.
The game I'm attempting to play is Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Gamecube. Also just wanted to mention that other emulators are picking up my PS4 controller, and when I use an app on for Mac called 'joystick show' it also picks up my DS4.
Any help would be much appreciated. I couldn't find a thread that specifically talked about PS4 controllers on Mac-Dolphin playing G-cube game so I thought I'd try posting this.
Thanks.
